Master David Clarke has been devoted to Korean martial arts since 1984, earning a reputation as a skilled instructor and specialist in wrist escape techniques. His career includes organizing and participating in high-profile demonstrations, such as events in London, and conducting workshops for community groups like the Scouts. Inspired by Chief Master Philip Holmes, whose expertise in martial arts, Oriental medicine, and philosophy deeply influenced his approach, Master Clarke sees martial arts as more than physical discipline—it’s a way to empower individuals, build resilience, and strengthen communities.

In addition to his martial arts expertise, Master Clarke holds a BSc and MSc in engineering, is the author of a government-approved certification scheme for data protection, and is a recognized authority in cybersecurity and compliance. This rare fusion of martial arts mastery and professional excellence allows him to mentor students with precision, philosophy, and purpose, creating a transformative experience that equips them with confidence and skills both on and off the mat.

Mark Scarlett: Head Instructor, Martial Artist

Mark Scarlett is a 2nd Degree Black Belt and dedicated Head Instructor with over 23 years of continuous training in Korean martial arts. Known for his dynamic teaching style and deep commitment to student development, Mark has played a major role in conducting workshops for community groups, including the Scouts, where he helps instill discipline, confidence, and practical self-defense skills. His leadership on and off the mats has made him a respected figure in the martial arts community.

Outside the dojang, Mark is a successful entrepreneur, running several businesses while maintaining a lifelong passion for health, bodybuilding, and high-performance, large-engined cars. His energy, focus, and drive carry through every aspect of his life—whether he’s leading a class, building his business ventures, or pursuing personal goals. Mark brings a powerful blend of discipline, ambition, and community spirit to everything he does, inspiring others to reach their full potential.
